On Occasion I get questions from clients and non-clients. I am answering a few and elaborating as needed.
- I am NOT a CPA. CPAs through education and other institutions become members of certain conventions. Most are benign. However, the very fact that a CPA depends on licensure is a gun to the head. I much prefer my independence. I do not have a poor opinion of CPAs and work with several.
- My claimed experience in business covers the majority of my life. My first Sub S Corp was formed in 1978. Others came. I had a very successful music career which sounds fluffy but it was hard nosed stuff beating out many competitors and winning many awards. I had but one gold record but quite a success selling over 42MM copies. I owned and ran a Consulting firm from 1989 through 1993 specializing in medical practices. I sold it then bought an engineering company out of its recievership from Midwest Bank. I later bought another and ran both as CEO and CFO until selling out in 1998 with a 1,900% Capital gain. somehwat later, I leased a seat on the Merc and traded the USBond. I hated it but brought it in house when data feeds where available. I had a rough through the Asian Currency Crisis but pulled it out and left wagging my tail. In 2022 I began my efforst in what I saw as the wave of the future…working from anywhere in the world. I got licensed to sell various insurance products and put out a shingle for my Accountancy. Both continued with great success to this day.
- Yes, I was a Scientologist like Tom Cruise. I spent 35 years in the cult though never giving up my soul or my perosnal viewpoints. I voluntarily resigned my membership in 2000 citing many irregularities. The church ignored them all and declared me a Suppressive Person (SP) their worse condemnation. I was subjected to all manner of horrid treatment including disconnection from all of my frienda in the church and my own children. I will likely die without any reconnection.
- I am not money motivated. I do a lot of pro bono and believe my mission in life is in part helping others.
- 5. NO, I am not allergic to a haircut but as my state allowed me tp do as I please plus the Covid era,,I let my hair grow out. Glad to have some at my age. I also think my appearance is well suited to the time I spend with the horses on Infinity Ranch.
- Indeed, I have been motivated to enjoy fighting the IRS and other tax agencies from the 9 consecutive audits I experienced. I won in substance.
