But It's All Over Now

The old Rolling Stones tune sang, “you used to love me, but it's all over now”. I think that would make a great Biden Campaign Theme. His ever approving fans seem not to love him anymore and want him to step aside. They don't care about the man, but rather fear he is an anchor around their necks that will take them down and away from their power. Yes, it is all about that. Meanwhile Trump has been coronated.

Our Republic n its formation did not necessarily forsee just how powerful the money is, though it certainly tried. Term limits would help, better controls on Lobbying and an improved morality in candidates seeking office accompanied by a public demand for it would help. How likely are these tweaks> I's say the chances are a million to one…like Loydd said, “so you're telling me there's a chance”.

My observations on the economy are in line with some. I see more inflation even if a short respite, temporary lower rates followed by an increased dumping of Treasuries and the USD which ultimately will raise rates to attract bond buyers, and continues political divide whilst Trump does his thing. That “thing” includes border enforcement, mass deportation, some resolutions to our foreign entanglements and more big spending. Is this improvement. Well, yes it is but it is far from a panacea. The US Debt will continue to rise due to so much of the deficits being baked in and Trump is far from frugal, though that man is a surprising character at times. With just one term, is he willing to be the one who champions big spending cuts to SS, Medicare and the Military? Will he make headway on draining the swamp? At least this time around he has a decent idea of where the swamp is. It is said that he should start by firing everyone named in the Plum Book…read about it at https://www.gpo.gov/who-we-are/news-media/news-and-press-releases/gpo-releases-plum-book

If Trump can get ridf of a few entire Departments perhaps, Education and Energy and restructure others like the entire Intel community with deep firings especially in Justice Nd the FBI, I think that alone will make his mark, as if he needs more marks. Surviving his assassination was Providence in this writer's opinion and to say otherwise is an insult to the miracle worker himself. That Trump managed to turn just enough to avoid having his brains getting spilled is an amazing thing and one that disappointed the Left. Those that speak out are clear.,,,they are saying next time get someone who can shoot.

As I watch the markets, they did not act surprised but more or less seem ok with him surviving and being so well positioned. WHat they see is l;oser money and a market that can continue rising. Maybe they're right. Powel does seem bent on lowering rates now, but can he if the markets demands higher rates to keep the US Debt afloat. We aren't exactly making friends at present but Trump could improve that because his demonstrated Foreign Policy favors peace through strength, like Reagan did. JD is a great choice and could play a pivotal role in heading up some special projects. And don't think for a minute he won't do a wee bit better than VP Harris did at the Border. I for one want a new Cabinet Position to be installed…Secretary for the Department of Small Government. Put Ramaswamy in that post and let him swing.

The old political warning is that it is the economy stupid. Yes it is but we must also look to the less visible existential threats that exist in a many levels deep bureaucracy whose jobs are solid and can't be fired. THAT needs to change. Dropping DEI and restoring merit can help. But the pensions are a mighty opponent and won't go without a fight including another assassination attempt. That entire Security debacle must get exposed. I personally think there were two shooters, maybe three. If the analysis is allowed to be made public instead of sealed for 70 years like Kennedy's file, we could get some relief. I am not particularly hopeful on the Government being forthcoming. But I do have some hope in the private sector provind analysis that can be helpful. In this day of cell phone cameras and computer tools to analyze sound and trajectories we will know more than the entire Warren Report. It's too much to expect that an agency who helped push the January 6th rioters into the Capital Building, will suddenly become honest and straight. The FBI and/or SS must have the brass left by the so called “lone shooter”. Does that match the caliber of the bullets that hit the crowd.? Video evidence shows trajectories and certainly bullets and shell casings have been retrieved. Do unfired bullets match? Was there more than one caliber? The sounds of the fired shots sure sounds like two different weapons. But I am not an expert. The big problem we all have is that in a vacuum of information, the entirety of analysis is majorly assumptions or creative thought on how it might have happened. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get the investigation out as transparently as possible
