The old intellectual question is whether form shapes function or whether function shapes form. That is a debate that can be broadened to include whether the form of government shapes its function. I believe it does.
The various forms of government, which is not a particularly modern invention, includes Democracies, Monarchies, Parliamentarism, Dictatorships hybrids like Republics which includes the USA's Representative set up, Electoral College and three branches.
Of course, a strong Constitution being the Supreme Law of the Land is crucial in the formulation, shaping and maintenance of our Republic. Unfortunately, there is a great degree of disagreement over the Constitution, the Supreme Court's decisions concerning it and how the DOJ implements it in seeking Justice. I am disappointed to say that the US system is corrupt and on its way out if the left is allowed to continue running the show. The massive gaslighting team of the Democratic party and the main stream media likes to throw all of their own sins on the Republicans, and especially on Trump. I am a good observer and the gaslighting ain't working on me. In fact, i believe it isn't working on millions of us But will our Citizens decide the upcoming election? I fear that is in question if the non citizens will slip through the cracks along with other typical Democrat cheating and again create a travesty, a criminal one.
The form of government, indeed our Constitution, requires something ancient in the societal sense…decent human beings. Some might add, religious, especially Christian people who are honest in nature. We have drifted from that but not mistake. the US has millions of good people and I believe we have one of the most caring and generous populations on Earth. But like a ship that is just 1 degree off its course, given enough time, it will miss its destination by a many miles. We are off course. The political class is a shameful shadow of what our Founders envisioned because the system has been worked over by dishonest people who love power more than their fellow men. What an understatement.
If Trump wins, and God help us if he doesn't, I pray that he gets the important things done and revives the love for our Constitution and cleans up the deep state. I fully get that for the deep state and its beneficiary, the Dems and perhaps other less seen interests, see this moment as existential. I surely hope it is. Who will accept anything but an honest transparent verifiable election. Not me. One side will be celebrating on Nov 5th or whenever the results are finally tabulated and the other side deep in despair of their loss. I believe, that this cycle comes along with other factors like the National Debt and the currency war that make it especially potent in its influence on the future health of the USA. The world needs a strong USA. A fair USA. Our influence can be an enormous force for good or as we now have, an enormous force behind unfair coercive policies. I did not know just how much we had become a hated nation until the Iran Hostage events of the 1980s. What an eye opener. Imperialism is not a form of government but rather an attitude. One of of superiority and we know best etc. It used to be that a Sovereign Nation controlled its own destiny and when conflicts erupted, diplomacy was used to resolve the issue. Now, war using proxies is the main weapon and gaslighting the world on that superiority is key. I don't think it is working. We have become hated through our own abusive actions interfering in the Sovereignty of Nations. It is the shadow government on the Intel community that runs things in reality and they fear Trump. In his own way, Trump is a major Constitutionalist not the gaslight dictator the Dems say he is. Yes, I am giving a lot of opinion here, but as said above, I am a good observer.
Pray for a good election and such a rout that it can't be rigged. Go Trump and yes, I'll take fries with that.
Best,
