Well, 2021 is upon us. It's with a loud GOOD RIDDANCE, we say goodbye to 2020. As an Account and tax preparer, the next 4 months are particularly busy ones. But I have no complaint and welcome it as a new period wherein I can revivify my personal war against the IRS. That may sound a bit odd but is merely my garden variety Italian vengeance in play. The IRS audited my returns 9 times in a row during the 90s and it went into the early 2000s as well. This series of audits forged my Accountancy into a vendetta whereby I make sure they never abuse my clients and that my clients pay the legal minimum in taxation. Many will miss Trump heading his low tax policy revolution when the wisdom of the electorate signed on to the Biden Administrations machinations. Never have I seen a Presidential Candidate win, and by such a large turn out, who stated a promise to raise taxes. Incredible. I expect a much heavier hand from the bureaucrats who will now have a social engineering administration behind them. I will steel myself and make sure my clients get whatever benefit they can and we'll never lay down to just shut up and pay. The vanishing middle class is on the ropes for sure but not down for the count.
This may seem a little dark for the usual platitudes voiced for each New Year, ut be assured that fighting the good fight has a path to happiness.
