The recent Senate vote approving Kash Patel as Trump's FBI Director was just plussed by naming Dan Bongino as Deputy Director of the FBI. This dynamic duo will spearhead a renaissance at the FBI returning it to its traditional purpose as the nation's premier crime investigation team while de-weaponizing it.
The accusation that going after Adam Schiff or previous FBI Director James Comey or Liz Chaney for that matter is weaponization is completely incorrect. The fact that these people may have committed serious crimes attached to various schemes like the Russia hoax or Jan 6th committee should at the least be further investigated and the FBI can do a fine job with their long arm subpoena power.
The more that comes out about the dirty tricks of these and other bad actors the more I want to see Justice do its thing. By all means blindfolded but Justice must be restored and the Citizenry's trust in it and its institutions as well. I also support prosecution of those ill advised Governors and other officials who refuse to follow the Federal efforts to deport illegal aliens. Not just the criminal ones, though I am fine with them being prioritized first, but all illegals. Certainly within that is room for compassion because they were given a green light from Biden and his pals so they just accepted the invitation. But getting free stuff brings a lot of illegal entries and now that that that appears to have been largely stopped, it is appropriate to clean up and save the billions of added burdens on taxpayers. I know there are good people among the illegal entrants but come back legally and be productive, assimilate and get on the path to Citizenship. The USA has long been a welcoming country to meritorious immigration and asylum seekers. That should continue.
I for one, wish Kash and Dan the very best in their awesome new positions. Use the new power and use it as promised…blind to who and never for political weaponry again.
