In the midst of Nazi atrocities, the Jews and the West in general had the mantra to NEVER FORGET. Well, they forgot. Or at least some forgot. Hatred of the Jews is now an open subject and again a rising concern for the Civilized world.
Having had connections to Jews in business and personal life, I speak with a clear mind. Other than ancient tribal bullshit, there is no basis for despising the Jews and Israel. All of the tropes are just that, tropes. The Jews are an amazing people and bear a highly correlated religious view with Christians in sharing the Old Testament. Jew haters also broadly hate Christians and therin lays the basis for ongoing Wars and maybe even the crucible for WW lll. It is said to begin in the Middle East and I';d say that is on track.
I recently read The Death of Democracy. It is a historically accurate account of how Hitler and the Nazis gained power. They did it through various tactics that would look familiar in today's world. Propaganda and media control were their tools as was violence. I read and saw Antifa, big tech suppression of ideas contrary to the WH, divisive language fostering race hatred and so much more. I highly recommend the book. I can see that many on the left would see it as analog to Maga and those on the Right see it as a direct comparison to the Left and Biden's horrid administration. Indeed, in my view, the current administration are quite similar in their tactics to the Nazis.
The term Nazi carries with it some cliches. Dark uniforms (Antifa) Censorship (think government influence on Google and Twitter etc) singling out political enemies (think Trump trials and Maga being the biggest threat to Democracy) and given time, maybe the goose step will show up.
I am disappointed in those who insist on demonizing others but I am also not a pacifist willing to sit there and be shit upon. The Jews and Israel have the Right and also the obligation to fight those who want their utter destruction and removal from this Earth. No doubt, the middle east is a nut house to typical westerners and I suppose I am typical. That the Palestinians want better is OK by me. But the Palestinian methodology used for betterment is violence and hatred not ingenuity. Though their October 7th attack did display some creativity it was all in the direction of murdering Jewish women and children and the occasional military. Their heinous acts will be returned. I believe that to be Just. If Egypt opens their border, Gaza could empty. Or perhaps the Turks could open their door to Palestinian refugees. Being direct neighbors with those you hate and want wiped off this Earth is a fools errand. It just doesn't work, especially under Hamas as the official governing body.
The purpose of War is simple…to change the mind of the enemy. It also serves a s a process to cleanse in racial terms and easily leans to ideologies and religious cleansing. In WW ll the West cleansed the Earth of Nazis and a Militant Japanese Empire. Eastern Europe has plenty of such cleansings and Chinese seem comfortable with their treatment of the Uygers and Falun Gong. Might makes right is the facts in matters of War. Ideas are hard to kill but people are pretty easily wiped out. With them, their ideas can be sent packing to heaven or hell and seedlings left behind can grow in time. The seedlings of the Nazi hatred of the Jews and even their solutions have been watered and nourished. Make no mistake, these are weeds in humanity's garden. I personally do not want suffering for anyone. But the realty is that suffering will be the norm and ethnic cleansing too. It's a battle of the ages. Good vs Evil where both sides believe they are Good and the other Evil. It comes down to moments when isolation isn't possible and one must pick a side. I'm with the Jews.
Let's pray for a resolution to all of this suffering and death.
Best,
